This card's effect: Activate by paying 1000 Life Points. Effects of monsters in the hand cannot be activated.
What this card hurts:
Prophecy - No Priestess Special Summoning, which slows them down
Mermails - This essentially makes all the Level 7's (AbyssMegalo, Abyssleed and Abyssteus) dead in the hand, as they can't use their effects to discard for a quick pop or search.
Elemental Dragons - This kills both tiers of Elemental Dragons, the big ones, who can't be discarded to search, and the small ones, who can't be discarded to summon. Slows the deck down to the point where it's almost dead
Downsides to this Card:
Obviously, the -1000 makes it a bit of a pain, and it's a sucky late game draw
Doesn't do much to some very competitive decks, like Evilswarm, Dark Worlds and Constellars
Any form of S/T removal will do it in - from MST to Breaker
Bit of a dead draw if one is already on the field
