This card has a Trigger Effect and his effect activates in the damage step.
Its is one of the most annoying cards in the game because it takes out the most powerful monsters and it forces players to re-use resources to get them out.
It's a powerful anti-meta card that laughs at cards like Catastor, Zenmaines, Maestroke, Elemental Hero Fusions and many more!
It's just not that useful in every deck...it helps anti-meta decks and Rock stun type decks tremendously.
Neo-Spacian Grand Mole works perfect in combination with ' Mind Crush ' : for example : Bounce annoying face up cards like ' Thunder King Rai Oh ' or facedown cards like ' Snowman ' and ' Mermail Abysslinde ' back to the hand and activate your set ' Mind Crush ' !!! Trust me, a combo that makes your opponent rage or smash his head on the table!
Basically it is a slow and solid monster removal that is reusable.
It is not quite good enough to be called a staple but it is often a helpfull card and should be considered for play.
Neo-Spacian Grand Mole suffers from a few problems though : it costs your Normal Summon and provides no field presence + defensive cards like Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, Fiendish Chain and Book of Moon are heavily played right now.
What this card is still able to do is taking care of monsters that are targeted by "Safe Zone" since its effect does not target.
Conclusion:The pace that the game is played at now is not kind to a card like
Neo-Spacian Grand Mole.
Using your Normal Summon and leaving yourself open after is almost like saying, “ Please, would you OTK me?”
But imo this is still a great card and will always see its play if used in a deck that can benefit from his amazing effect!!!
