You find yourself inside a volcano, fumes rising from the magma under you.
There are several ledges for you to stand on.

There seems to be ruins as if there once was a structure inside of it.

... into a Volcano?! Sugoi! I've always wanted to be in a volcano! Maybe... I might be saying that if I had my memories... «But why would a volcano be calling to me?» The young man looks around and spots what appeared to be Town Ruins. Oh, neat. What's over there? He hops across the ledges making his way to the Ruins.

«The black angel and the... armor-dude?... went into the Gear Door. The blond kid went through the Leaf Door. And I'm alone in the Fire Door, which led to a volcano... That just leaves...» He begins counting off the other people on his fingers. «The tall guy in the weird orange jumpsuit, the person in the bear-suit, the guy with greenish hair, Visor-dude, the ninja guy, and the girl with the long white hair.» Thinking of the ninja guy, he pulls his scarf up around his head, forms "Ram" with his hands. Nin, nin. Then he busts out laughing.

He pulls his scarf down back around his neck. «A grey scarf? Where did I get this? And... are these scales?»

A meteor streaks down from the sky, splashing into a nearby shallow pool of Lava.

Whoa! A rock? Scale runs along the ledges to check it out. «Why would a rock this large fall from the sky?» His eyes opened wide. «Don't tell me...» Did a catapult throw this?!

He walks effortlessly through the lava, and stands before Scale, brandishing a shield and trident. "So you must be one of the people I've been sent here to crush. So will it be a duel," the figure gestures with their shield, which has slots for a deck and cards, "Or a trial by combat?"

«A duel? Or a fight? What's the difference?» Scale looks around. A duel. Scale is surprised as his scarf snakes off his neck and around his arm. Its folds form slots for the cards. «Well, that's interesting.»

"Well, well, it appears that we have a similar nature amongst us," the figure states at the conclusion of the duel. "What do you say that we work together?" The man extends his hand toward Scale.

«Ugh. Looks like I'll have to change the way these cards work.» Scale looks to the victor. Work together? To what ends?

"Well it seems that we have similar decks, and together we can crush those in our path. I'm Gling by the way. So what do you say?"

«Crushing sounds like fun... Why is that?» Sure, why not? But how do we know our cards would work together?

Gling raises an eyebrow as he looks at Scale. "It should be obvious. The burning spirits that exist inside of our decks are made of similar stuff, or were you too awed by my power to notice?"

«This guy sure is snooty...» Scale looks at Gling and mirrors his expression. "Burning Spirits", huh? You said your name was Gling? Well, then. Since we're partners now, where do we go? We're the only two in the Volcano.

Gling raises an eyebrow and grins. "We will go where those of fire can have the most fun. A place where we can spread and destroy indiscriminately," On these words, Gling thrusts forward with his trident, ripping a hole in the realities between the realms, and opening up a doorway that looked out into a lush forest. "C'mon, lets get going!" Gling says as he steps through the doorway. Shortly after, he calls back, "Hey Scale, we've got some troublemakers on this side. Come and lend me a hand."

"Grah! Stupid boss. 'Don't burn down my territory. Don't antagonize the other minions. Stay there and guard the volcano.' Why do I have to do what he says," Gling grumbles.

Gling picks up a wayward piece of obsidian, and hurls it against the cone of the volcano.

"Ragh! Where is everyone! I need to beat someone. What's so important about this volcano anyway." Gling grumbles.

A streak of blue light descends into the volcano.

The problem for Pit came with the sudden disorientation. Just a moment ago he was oriented horizontally to the ground but now he was headed strait into the core of an active volcano.

"SHIT!!!" Pit yells as he reorients himself, barely managing to land on one of the ledges inside the crater with one knee on the ground.

Standing up, Pit looks around and picks up a stray piece of obsidian lying near him. "Interesting... I'm just glad I'm not burning to a crisp here."

Finishing his survey of the area Pit notices a red haired man across the way.

I didn't see him at the platform... so he's likely another one of the white man's units. Is he more like Nissa, Sol, or is he in a class of his own? I'll keep my weapon hidden, just in case this one's diplomatic.

Gling's seem to burst into flame when he sees Pit.

"Finally," he mutters under his breath. Leaping off of the cone, Gling lands next to Pit, brandishing his trident and shield. "Halt! Access to this area is restricted! Leave now or suffer the consequences!"

'Please let him say no, I want to feel him suffer beneath me' Gling thinks as he says his scripted line.

"May I ask your reasons? Or are you just looking for a fight?" Pit comments.

"You pathetic fool, you don't need to know the reason." Gling retorts haughtily. "You only need to know that it is forbidden."

"Looking for a fight it is then." Pit said as he swung his arms like he was swinging a baseball bat and summoning a club made of stone mid swing.

"Seriously fool? Bringing a blunt weapon against an opponent with a shield," Gling remarks with a smirk, blocking the strike, "is a hindrance, because it will slow you down, and allow for your opponent to react swiftly while you are off balance from the block." With that said, Gling sends his Trident towards Pit's feet.

"True" Pit says as he slides around back of Gling, avoiding his strike.

"But who said that I only brought a club?" The club dissapears in a shimmer of light, quickly replaced by a pair of claw styled gauntlets which he used to slice at Gling's back.

(Ligament move, Pit knows that from level one in uprizeing)

Gling uses the base of his trident to vault forwards, dodging the slash. "Lesson 2: Play your environment to your advantage," Gling then twists his trident when pulling it out of the ground, causing a plume of Lava to burst out. "Because I doubt you are immune to fire like I am." Gling then thrusts forward with his shield, sending a cascading wave of lava towards Pit.
